brooke lydbrooke was born and educated in the UK. She emigrated to Canada in 1980 and has been an activist, artist and published writer for many years. She has published several short stories and many cartoons. She played and sang in several alternative rock bands in the ‘70s and ‘80s. In the ‘90s, she made two videos for Rogers TV, ’Those Lesbians Are Really Talented’ and ‘Pride Fantastico’. She was a teacher with the TDSB from 1979-2013. In 2014, as part of World Pride, she was in ‘The Horses Mouth’ at Buddies in Bad Times. In 2016, she recorded a solo CD’ As the Light Bends’. In 2017 she co-directed ‘In the Middle of Nowhere’ as part of Inside Out’s New Visions Program.
