Calla Durose-Moya is an emerging artist working and living in between Toronto and Peterborough, Ontario.
Calla is becoming increasingly interested in hybrid moving image work. Her practice is based on her own lived experience and often explores issues of identity. She has traditionally worked with celluloid and installation and is now broadening her practice to video. Her work continues to be founded in performance and is currently producing more work of that vein.
Calla is very influenced by early video art, which she was exposed to during her employment at Vtape in Toronto this summer 2017.
Her work has been shown at Artspace, Peterborough, Catharine Parr Traill College, Trent University Peterborough, Evans Contemporary, Peterborough, and Trinity Square Video, Toronto.
