Artist

Rowley Mossop

Since 1986, Rowley Bayard Mossop has produced six fictional videotapes individually and in collaboration. Most of these deal with themes of sexual self-determination, and the conflicts that arise when we express our desire. His most recently completed tape is title TEST. It shows how the clinical test for HIV -- the virus which may lead to AIDS -- can become a sinister administrative tool that brands individuals with society's morbid and hostile view of sex between men. His work has been exhibited in Canada and the United States.

Rowley Mossop lives and works in Toronto.
