Heramedia came together in New York City just to make "Just Because of Who We Are". Since then the group has dispersed to other cities and other pursuits. Robin Omata works in health planning, Toni Dickerson in education, Afua Kafi Akua in media distribution, Abigail Norman in community television and lithographic printing. Daresha Kyi produced "Land Where My Fathers Died." Lydia Dan Pilchar has made numerous films and TV programs, notably producing Mira Nair's "Kama Sutra" and "The Perez Family" and directing "Reno Finds her Mom."
