Artist

Greg Marshall

Greg Marshall was born in Edmonton, Alberta in 1970, and grew up primarily in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He studied painting at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary from 1988 to 1994, where he was given the opportunity to incorporate a wide range of artistic mediums, from painting to video, from photography to performance art. He works commercially as motion graphics designer and 3D animator, and considers himself an emerging artist. His work still involves a cross-disciplinary approach.

Recent exhibitions include a group exhibition of founding members of the Untitled Art Society in Calgary. In 1998 he completed a half-hour documentary on a
NORAD air defence radar site, which was repeatedly broadcast on SCN Television for 5 years. The documentary was co-produced with the Banff Centre for The Arts.
