Anna Malkin

Anna Malkin is an independent video producer, director and editor. She is also an instructor of editing and media software (Mac), an independent film and video maker, and an aspiring animator. Despite her precision technical abilities and uber nerd organizational skills, she is an artist first and her editing craft has developed with an unconventional and inventive aesthetic in video-making. Anna started making film and video work at the Ontario College of Art in the late 80s (AOCA 1990). In the 90s she relearned everything she knew about analog audio and video in order to edit in a digital format. In addition to producing a number of her own videos and film she has worked in the film industry in Toronto for over a decade IMDB Credit List. In addition to video work Anna is now producing raku ceramic sculpture which you can find at: www.malkinraku.com. Anna grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. After living in Toronto Ontario for a little more than 20 years, she recently relocated to Victoria BC (2008) and is now busy falling in love with the ocean.
