Kevin Adams

A resident of Los Angeles for 10 years, Adams grew up in the north west area of Houston Texas. He also lived in the Woodlands community when it opened in 1974. Adams has shown video shorts, video installations and photographs in museums, galleries and film festivals across the U.S. and internationally and his photos are included in the permanent collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. He is also an Art Director for feature films and commercials and a theatrical set and lighting designer. His film credits include Art Director for Sandra Bernhard's Without You I'm Nothing and Production Designer for Rico Martinez's Glamazon: The Barbara Lame Story. His stage work includes lighting for Sandra Bernhard's Giving Till it Hurts in LA and NYC; international tours with performance artist Rachel Rosenthal; John Fleck (one of the "NEA 4") and theatre and opera in the LA area. He recently designed lights for Janet Jackson's music video IF.

Adams has received fellowships from the NEA and Art Matters Inc. and has received a MFA from the California Institute of the Arts.
