Winston Xin

Winston Xin is a Malaysian born, Chinese-Canadian media artist, curator, and writer. Xin was the Programmer at Video In Studios, the artist-run Media Arts centre in Vancouver from 1996-2000. Xin is also one of the founders of Asian Heritage Month, Vancouver, a month long arts & culture festival. He was an active Board, Programmer & Guest Curator for Out on Screen: Vancouver’s Queer Film/Video Festival (1995-2008). His video shorts and curated video/film programs have played extensively, nationally as well as internationally. Xin has sat on several arts and cultural boards in Vancouver. Xin’s curatorial and artistic practice is centered around the ways in which media art and differing cultures meet, oppose, interface, and dialogue.
