Tania Trepanier

Sugar and Spice is Tania Trépanier's first dramatic video piece. Besides participating in several group exhibits, Trepanier has had two solo multimedia exhibits, "Can't Sit Down For Long" 1993; "Goddess and Other Women" 1994 both at the SUB Art Gallery at the University of British Columbia. She has two documentary experimental videos to her name, "Vancouver: Un Voyage Sur Place 1993, and If I Can't Dance I Don't Want to be Part of Your Revolution 1996. Trépanier is presently completing her MA in an innovative inter-university MA program in Women's Studies. Trépanier is a bilingual, bi-national, bisexual woman who grew up in the Comorro Islands, Malawa and Trinidad; much of her artistic and academic work addresses issues around cultural and sexual identity.
