Coming to a screen no where near you: Inuit filmmaker Zacharias Kunuk has folwed up his acclaimed debut, The fast Runner, with an epic tragedy about the clash between the nomadic world and Christanity.

Filmmaker Zacharias Kunuk's latest production is about Knud Rasmussen's journals. Rasmussen was a Danish ethnographer/explorer, and the story details cultural clash with the last Inuit Shaman, Ava. This articles quotes Kunuk revealing details form his personal history that have informed the religious clashes and the physical difficulties of making the film. The article also gives biographical information on Kunuk and his buisness partner Norm Cohn. The first audience for this new film will be the residents of Kunuk's home town, Iglooilk, Nunavet.
