by Colin Gill

The Socialist Review, Mar. 2005, pp. 1-2

This short article in The Socialist Review is an exhibition review of the art show entitled "Africa Remix." This show in 2005 was the largest exhibition of contemporary African art ever seen in Europe. It comprised of depictions of "pain and suffering" and their causes in colonialism, as well as the will to overcome these. There are several political exhibits and the exhibition as a whole is described not as a "comprehensive survey but rather an anthology." The exhibition featured work by various African video artists such as Zoulikha Bouabdellah, Barthélémy Toguo, Dilomprizulike and Ingrid Mwangi
