For the 19th year of Pleasure Dome programming five events were presented, the 6th annual SOUNDplay Festival and the call for submissions for the New Toronto Works was launched.
IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST, was screened at OCAD Auditorium. Curated by Toronto artist Vid Ingelevics, this project was conceived in conjunction with the Archives of Ontario exhibition of still photography, From Assignment to Archive: Recognizing the Work of Ontario Government Photographers.
TEXT OF LIGHT PERFORMANCE, presented at the Latvian House. SOUNDplay '07 presents Text of Light a New York-based music group which will feature the three founding members: Lee Ranaldo, Alan Licht and Ulrich Krieger.
The 6th annual SOUNDplay Festival, performances and installations at the Latvian House, Music Galley the Gladstone and NAISA Space were part of this experimental festival that encourage new infusions of image, sound and text.
PICTURES OF THINGS THAT AREN'T THERE, Toronto based artist Mary J. Daniel and assorted short films by the legendary American filmmaker Marie Menken selected by Daniel.
LIVE PROJECTIONS, performances of live projections by Shary Boyle and Liss Platt.
THE SIGN FLASHED OUT ITS WARNING, works of Olaf Breuning, Goody-B Wiseman and Phil Collins were screened.
