Festival aims to put video into the pay-TV picture

State of the Art, Outstanding Videotapes by Artists was a 4 day video festival. It was organized around the Film Festival's Trade Forum. Marien Lewis and R.A. Gledhill organized the festival. The festival included the work of many Canadian and American video artists such as Eric Metcalf, Dana Atchley, Elizabeth Chitty and Colin Campbell.

The article discusses several broadcast quality video pieces, and the role of copy right and how video art gets financed - looking specifically at the Ontario Arts Council and television licensing.
