Summary of two artists and their current exhibitions. Paul Chan presents Gift into Line, 2nd Light and The 7 Lights at the Emily Carr Institute, his first exhhibition in Canada. His video work examines religion, philosophy and politics through analogue and digital drawings. Jude Norris presents Ethereal / Material - Working Between The Lines, experimenting with different projection materials such as deer hides and fabrics. Part of the Western Front gallery, this is in keeping with the themes that are a part of much of her work: combining organic materials with new technologies to reference Native practices within contemporary art.
