by Jon Davies

Xtra!, Mar. 27, 2008, no. 611, p. 27

The 2008 Images Festival features an abundance of work from queer artists, both local and international.

At A Space, John Greyson and Stephen Andrews each show new work along with German artist Hito Steyrl.

Deirdre Logue's Rough Count is being shown at the Harbourfront Gallery. In the piece she counts and re-counts pieces of confetti.

Sadie Benning's two screen animation Play Pause is showing at the Power Plant and at the Brigatine Room Daniel Barrow is presenting a live animation performance.

Steven Cohen's piece Maid in South Africa features his family's maid going through a "naive striptease" while going through her cleaning routine. The piece plays at Vtape from April 5 until May 10.
