The first International Video Art Biennial in Israel was held November 20-26, 2002, in Tel Aviv. This introduction provides background on the development of video as well as the increasing prevelance of the particular medium in Israeli art practices. Video-Zone hailed six curators to present programs based on concerns by artists in their own regional areas. Curators include Solange Farkas, Simon Njami, Joseph BacksteinDeborah Lawler, Pioter Krajewski and Shulin Zhao.
