Leila Sujir and Douglas Berquist "Technologically Native"
Vanguard, Sept. 1983, v. 12, no. 7, pp. 52-53
A summary of the film Technologically Native in which the two main characters, Marie and Pol, explore the power of words and the process of language. As Pol and Marie launches this investigation they are slowly consumed by language believing that it is structuring their reality rather than solely identifying objects. Both characters function less as people and more as personifications of Art and Science as the film weaves one theoretical school into the next. Against this narrative the language of the film plays off the content demonstrating that not all forms of communication are verbal.
