New film shows what women face as mothers speak out about incest
The Toronto Star, Jan. 28, 1989
Doris Anderson relates typical maternal disbelief towards sexual abuse occuring within the domestic sphere to the interviews of four mothers in Holly Levine's documentary Mothers Speak Out About Incest. Anderson believes that mothers often receive the blame for ignorance over incestual occurences and that Mothers Speak Out will invoke social change in terms of convicting fathers on accounts of incest.
