Fashion designer Aatif Y. Siddiqi first designed costumes, and then created a play from them. Writer, director, producer, actor, and of course costume designer the young artist mounts Amethyst's Universe in Montreal, delving into the issues of gender identity and cross dressing, which he was stifled to express in his native Pakistan.
