Stan Douglas: Talks About Klatsassin, 2006

In this short article artist Stan Douglas discusses his film Klatassin. Made in 2006, the film chronicles the life of Klatassin, a chief of the Tsilhouot tribe of British Columbia. In the first half of the article Douglas describes his interest and inspiration in the western genre. A medium which he describes as borrowing from the Japanese cinema. In the second half of the article Douglas recounts the plot of Klatassin and describes the plot and inspiration for the film.
