Mother, turn off the picture
artscanada, June 1968, v. 25, no. 2, pp. 13-16
The author discusses the use of sound and music in his work and the work of other artists. He considers "sounding pictures and sculptures" as well as the sound of technical devices, the use of sound in architectural spaces, in environmental performance, and in theater. He suggests that sound - whether natural, functional, or calculated - could point the way to a "new baroque," providing a bridge between artists, composers, architects, etc.
