Media independents push for access

This article discusses difficulties faced by independent film and videomakers regarding funding, access to public television, censorship, and distribution. The possibilities considered include acquiring corporate funding and also the creation of a national network for self-distribution. Regarding access to public television, the article highlights the importance of peer review panels to decide which independent work gets shown, and also criticizes hiring and funding practices of broadcast networks.
