Making magic: Queer music videos return with a vengeance

by John Webster

Xtra!, May 11, 2006, no. 562, p. 8

John Webster reviews the Blackalley Jukebox program from the 2006's Inside Out festival. The program, a haven for truly quirky queers, consists of 16 films (music videos) that are cheap, imaginative, grassroots art. The magic is found in the returning flair and gritty playfulness of pre-AIDS era queer videos.
