Ingrid Mwangi, one of Kenya's video art pioneers, deploys an array of work - video art, installations, performances and sound compositions - to interrogate intercultural social and political transactions as discovered through her self-replicated African and European background. The article includes a brief biographical account of Ingrid Mwangi and her art practice in the context of the partnership between Nairobi Arts Trust in Kenya and Centre for Contemporary Art of Africa in Belgium.
