Klaus Jürgen-Fischer reviewed Gerry Schum's second Television Gallery titled Identifications (1970). Jürgen-Fischer was concerned with two contradictions manifesting in the project. Firstly, he argued that the distribution of the tapes in limited autographed editions was contrary to the democratic principles of conceptual artists to render art available to everyone outside the traditional gallery space. Secondly, the content that attempted to portray artists as non-artists in order to connect with the common viewer while at the same time to maintain their status as artists aimed for both social and economic success. Jürgen-Fischer did not think such approach was appropriate and called for a more honest one.
