by Douglas M. Davis

Art in America, Jan. 1968, v. 56, no. 1, pp. 38-42

In this article, Douglas M. Davis interviews Hungarian born, painter, designer, photographer and M.I.T professor, Gregory Kepes about the relationships between technology and art, as well as scientists and/as artists.

"Gradually I began to see that the world opened up by science and technology could offer essential tools and symbols for the reconstruction of our physical surroundings and for the reorganization of our inner world, the world of our sensitivities, feelings and thoughts. Furthermore, I came to believe that artists and scientists could be equal partners in this great transformation." (39)
