Xll Bienal de Sao Paulo: A prototype for Vaudeville
Studio International, Mar. 1974, v. 187, no. 964, pp. 98-101
The author and curator Regina Cornwell provides a heavy critique of the Xll Biennal de Sao Paulo, using her frustrating experience of setting up the exhibit Video Tapes by 17 American Artists as an illustration of her view that the event was structureless and corrupt. Cornwell even calls for a future boycott of this event, as she feels that she was not alone in having an excruciating experience.
