Vision: Opus II, III, and IV, Gavin Bryars - Steve Dwoskin - Music Now

by Malcolm Le Grice

Studio International, Apr. 1973, v. 185, no. 954, p. 194

First an introduction to Walter Ruttmanm's experimental films of the 1920s. Thought to be 'lost', the films would now be available for some distribution. An interesting consideration of Ruttmann's compulsory film service to Germany during WWII.

Second, a favorable review of a musical performance and screening entitled Jesus Blood Never Failed Me Yet. Also a short look at the distinction between recorded sound versus live sound elements accompanying moving image.
