This review of the 1988 Festival of Festivals in Toronto focuses on various works by artists from different countries in Europe. Many works are summarized and critiqued, while certain elements are discussed as to their part in comprising the festival. There is special attention paid to the use of black and white imagery versus colour, and what it means to the work and to developing cinema in general.
