Para-television daydreams
The Village Voice, Oct. 11, 1973, no. 41, p. 37
Author Perreault first provides an insightful description of the state of video as a toy, not a tool, and why video is inherently avant-garde (in 1973). Perrault uses two different video exhibitions at separate galleries to highight the potential drawbacks of traditional art galleries attempting to display video art and how, when done correctly, the viewer's experience is enhanced.
