"Shocked and outraged as I was, it was nice seeing you again.'
Avalanche, Winter 1971, no. 2, pp. 58-69
In this short article, William Wegman briefly introduces his performative video works using personal anecdotes and short texts overlaid onto images. Wegman also provides some of the impetus and processes involved in the production of his videos as he talks about how his creative and technical decisions relate to his interests, such as the deceptivity of continuous motion. In describing the Interrupted Series, he writes: "Using the camera to organize the picture, I'd do the one thing that looked the most convincing, but it would be a lie." (62).
