British/Canadian Video Exchange '84, 1984, pp. 1-10

Toronto: A Space, 1984

Exhibition catalogue for the Canadian portion of the British-Canadian Video Exchange '84 which took place in Toronto and featured video work by British artists. Short curatorial essays by Canadian curator Jane Wright, and British curator Jeremy Welsh, explain how the project came about. The curators also note that political themes had become more prevalent in the work of both Canadian and British video artists, particularly sexual politics, feminism, media politics and the peace movement. The exhibit features nightly programmes which focus on these themes. Jane Wright's curatorial essay available publicly with item code 1984.003.
