Zaheen K interviews Kyisha Williams on her short film red lips [cages for black girls], whch focuses on treatment within the prison system of Indigenous, Black, Queer, Trans, disAbled, low-income, and other marginalized peoples. Williams identifies herself as being Black, queer, sex-positive and femme, her experiences and the experiences of others within her community guiding most of the conversation. The interview takes on an explicitly political tone reflective of Williams' concurrent roles as writer and activist.
