Video Spa: Krisna Murti's treatment of the senses

Artist Krisna Murti showcased his video installation Video Spa at the Indonesian National Gallery, his work synthesizes the themes of Eastern religions, technologies, and social experiences. These elements are translated into therapeutic images of nature and relaxing ambient sounds. The intentions of the artist are to enlighten and liberate viewers from the constraints of mainstream media. The author argues in favour of interpreting Murti's work against the backdrop of Indonesian and international television and consumer culture.
