Helen Henderson discusses director/producer Laura Sky's documentary Recovering Love. Sky was named "one of Canada's most distinguished documentary filmmakers", by Sudbury's Laurentian University, and with this, recieved an honorary doctorate. At the ceremony, Sky met Diane Massicotte, who had connections to the Iris Addiction Recovery Centre for Women, which prompted a collaboration.

Recovering Love, documents women and their families suffering from addiction, touching on broader issues concerning bad marriages, abuse, systemic discrimination, racism and poverty.
