This article discusses The Night Epi$ode by the collective My Barbarian, a video installation which combines six bizarre narratives with a DIY low-tech and campy aesthetic. Although the events of the video appear to be absurd, they ultimately reflect familiar realistic struggles against the constraints of society, including unemployment, health insurance and same-sex marriage.
