Monika Szewczyk attempts to follow the mind-set of Canadian artist, Corin Sworn. Because her work is primarily narrative-based, Szewczyk tries to tap into that aspect by describing the various projects that continue to center around children, socialization, and the human condition. Although Sworn is best known for her articulate drawings, this piece highlights her current "in progress" film work that explores a fantasy world populated with modern children. Szewczyk concludes the piece with actual dialogue taken from her film.
