In this article, Paul Benzon looks at the DVD as the last media 'object'. By looking at its upcoming obsolescence, he explores the paratextuality of the DVD. An run-through of the medium's distribution and bootleg history, as well as a close analysis of the film Borat are used to tackle the bigger theme of temporality within the digital age.
