Video Art: Expanded Forms
Leonardo, 1990, v. 23, no. 4
The exhibition curated by John G. Hanhardt sought to represent some of the directions taken by artists who work in the medium of video. In recent years the work of these and other artists has been represented in major museum exhibitions and collections. There is a large body of uncollected work, outstanding examples of contemporary installation and sculpture, that with the improvements in video technology are easier to operate and maintain than they were when first shown in the early 1970's.
