Metis Rose video released by Duck Lake filmmaker

Filmmaker Marjorie Beaucage has created the film Métis Rose. Rose Fleury is an 86 year old women who recently moved from her home in Duck Lake to Prince Albert to be with her family. Fleury is an important activist and elder in her Métis community as she has actively worked for decades to preserve her community's culture and history. Fleury is the co-founder of the Aboriginal Film and Video Art Alliance and was also a cultural ambassador who negotiated with organizations like the Banff Centre, Vtape and The Canada Council to develop Aboriginal arts programs.
