Roundtable discussion:

by Catherine Elwes

Moving Image Review & Art Journal (MIRAJ), 2017, v. 6, no. 1&2, pp. 180-191

David Critchley, Terry Flaxton, Chris Meigh-Andrews, Katharine Meynell and Jeremy Welsh - all individuals who were involved in the administration of London Video Arts - discuss the historical moment in which LVA was formed, the challenges the organization faced, the dynamics of the collective and the influence it had on the development of video art into the 1980s and 1990s. Finally they offer LVA as a model of a self-organized initiative for artists' moving image that remains relevant today.
