This interview covers Canadian painter Kent Monkman and his recent commission by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Monkman (also known by his alter ego Miss Chief Eagle Testickle) is known for his European-style paintings that put Indigenous peoples at the forefront, often depicting the atrocities that happened due to colonialism.

In this interview, Monkman speaks about his inspirations as well as his alter ego in relation to his commission at the Met. His work will show from December 19 2019 to April 12 2020.
