"Digit Retro is a mid-career look at the videotapes of Elizabeth Vander Zaag, a Vancouver artist who has been working with the video medium since 1973. The videos that have been selected represent the development in Vander Zaag's work of computer graphics and technological advance in video, from the experimental works of the 1970's to the sophisticated animation in her latest tapes. Common to all the tapes is Vander Zaag's playful sense of humour, which she uses to challenge assumptions of technology and how it informs the viewer." -Brice MacNeil, Curator
