Starling Man

TAPECODE 005.00

History has shown that the need to dominate nature is specifically male. This tape weaves a series of disconnected images into a moment of rupture in this historical continuum. the story is simple: starlings become pests as they proliferate; for this 'problem', the Man must devise solutions and they are drastic; the trees must be chopped down, poisons must be spread, the environment, in short, will be damaged. Faced with the monumental proportions of his response, the Man weeps. The tape is structured poetically, as each image provides commentary within its own presence.
