A reflection on the energy and transience of our animate existence. This work is based on my experience of helping some carps that were suffering in the stagnant water of a Japanese garden on a hot summer day. Returned to fresh water, the carps began to swim as if they were reborn... The sounds and movements were calming and energizing....
