Pink In Public

Andrew J. Paterson

1993, 20:00 minutes, colour, English

TAPECODE 127.03

A gay male TV reporter is assigned to assemble a tabloid style news clip focusing on the 'outing' of an expatriate entertainer living lucratively in the U.S.. During the course of this 'investigation', the reporter becomes frustrated with the boundaries of his assignment so he attempts to 'out' the subject of 'outing' by shooting an ad hoc documentary on the subject until his boss threatens him with dismissal.
Humorous yet poignant, Paterson's Pink in Public weaves a complex course through the minefields of the media and gay discourse.
