Tongue Tied and Twisted

Joyan Saunders

1989, 22:00 minutes, colour, English

TAPECODE 173.12

This Tape seeks to redefine and expand the terms in which women's experience is represented. The camera becomes privy to one individual's oppositional musings on subjects as diverse as representational authority, heterosexual privilege, and the perfect haircut. Meanwhile we see her devising unorthodox uses for gas ovens, vibrators, plastic bags, and other artifacts of contemporary existence.
