A Study for Aviary Species In Soda Soup, is a sampling of images from Aviary Species In Soda Soup, a multi-monitor three channel installation work, videotaped in Kenya. The three main groups of birds portrayed are the Maribou Storks, Great White Pelicans, and Flamingoes found on lakes Baringo and Nakura. It is a visual delineation of the occupants of these Soda Lakes, Maribous hunting the shorlines waiting for an easy meal, the flamingoes gather a short distance into the water feeding on algae etc., and the pelicans, further into the lakes, feeding on fish.
The work is meant to be a meditation of nature.
