The subject of Escape From Freedom is the emergence of a solitary refugee, the frustration of the alienated individual in the surrounding ambiguity of freedom. Set in the beauty of nature, the seemingly aimless flight of a resolute fugitive is dramatized by the alarming, primitive sound of the lip-vibrated megaphone, a contemporary tromp of doom. This video is part of a larger work in progress, The Anti-Cycle of Megaphony, and represents several years of experiment in the fields of alternative, non-acedemic new music, sound recording, performance art and video.
