Turn It On, Tune It In, Take It Over!, is a one hour assemblage of some of the earliest and most inspiring examples of community TV and public access TV in the U.S. The completed program was distilled from hundreds of hours of footage, shot mostly in the early 1970's using the first portable TV format - the 1/2" open reel, black and white, video portapak. Turn It On,... is a homage to the birth of the video revolution which predates the current camcorder craze by about 20 years! This portrait of freedom of expression entering the electronic age contains an introductory section narrated and "enriched" by the poet Allen Ginsberg.
